Completed Shh Layout from Last Week

This is the layout I posted last week. The one I was stuck on. You can go check it out. I added some embellishments and I am much happier with it now! I added some chevrons to bring the red over to the other side of the layout and some buttons to do the same with the other colors.

Here’s a closeup of the chevron embellishment I added. It’s great for filling up that empty space and bringing in more of the red. It really pops against the neutral background.

Here are the buttons I added. I thought the stars were a cute touch since this is about a sleeping baby. I thought the color balance these gave worked out well. Now I have the three colors on both sides of the layout. I tied a simple knot on the starts with cotton yarn and used hemp on the blue circle button. Then I adhered them with glue dots.

I like to have some height in my layouts. These pennants are stickers, but I placed a foam pop dot under each one so that the points would curl up a bit for some added interest.

Here’s the layout as I had it last week when I was stuck. I am really happy with the way it ended up. I’m not one for really jumbled up layouts or tons of embellishments.
